Luxury is our hallmark; and when developing our collection of bags, we wanted to provide high-quality, durable and stylish bags suitable for all stages of life. After much research & tribulations - we settled on the wonderful material called NEOPRENE.
What is Neoprene?
Neoprene is a material made from the natural latex of rubber trees, and is one of the most widely used materials around, particularly known for its use in swimsuits. It is often also used for laptop sleeves, bottle holders, orthopaedic braces, sportswear, mouse pads, gloves, lunch bags, electrical insulation, automative fan belts & fire protection accessories to name a few.
Neoprene is created via the polymerisation of chloroprene, which links single molecules into multi-unit molecules to create polychloroprene chips. These are then melted & mixed with various foaming agents and pigments, before being baked so the mixtures expand and create stable sheets of Neoprene.
Being made of rubber, it is a highly durable material that can stretch, bend and quickly return to it's original shape. This is because rubber molecules are always moving & pulling each other to form structured molecular chains. Creases formed from folding for long periods of time will therefore smoothen out when kept straight. The manufacturing process also involves high levels of heat which results in a clean, antibacterial material.
Neoprene is not only a durable investment, but is also resistant to chemicals & corrosive mediums, thermally stable & waterproof.

Our floral prints were photographed in Cape Town and made of locally grown blooms, pieced together to portray different qualities of women. Our local manufacturer was then able to convert these photographs into high quality prints for our bags.
